Episode 114: Lorenz Hart 87th Birthday Tribute 2

The second of a three-part program paying tribute to renowned lyricist Lorenz “Larry” Hart on what would have been his 87th birthday. Hart is perhaps best known for his collaborations with composer Richard Rodgers, who he worked with on 26 Broadway musicals including PAL JOEY and PEGGY-ANN. In this program, listeners called in to request their favorite pieces from Hart’s career, including works from the Broadway classics THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and ON YOUR TOES, as well as from the 1948 musical film WORDS AND MUSIC, which is based on Rodgers’ and Hart’s career together.
